Seeing as the proto-section is one of the most updated ones, I personally think they should be classified under proto because they were one of the first acts to receive the "Heavy Metal" label in the early 1970s by rock journalists Mike Saunders.

hmm

Currently, the proto-metal team here has a long list of bands that collaborator "Certif1ed" is gradually working his way through and evaluating.  IIRC he is in the middle of the letter C right now.  I'm sure Humble Pie is on his list Thumbs Up

Personally I wouldn't consider HP for proto metal, as they seem an obvious (and excellent) example of heavy blues-based Rock.

If we implement a Heavy Rock or Hard Rock category (and it's not impossible), then they'd be a perfect fit.

 I agree. Would be a great addition to the heavy/hard sub-genre. It's possible.Approve
