Also, Von Hertzen Brothers? That seems like an awfully random touring partner.
Although not as random as Circa Survive and Animals as Leaders...

I think that the combination of PoS and Opeth is going to blow my socks off! Cool

Lucky... I'm seeing Opeth in September, but since PoS, or I should say Gildenlow, refuses to play in the US I won't be seeing both of them together.

Also on another note, hopefully this album is a bit darker. I only say that because the cover is almost exactly to same compare to RS1 except it's black, not white.

I don't care about how dark it is, I just hope they stop trying to be a blues jam band.

This one is supposed to be darker and heavier than RS1.

To everyone who's super pissed about their new bluesy sound... I honestly have a feeling it won't be for long. Daniel is never content with one style of music, and after RS2 (which is supposed to be somewhat similar to RS1, albeit darker) I have a feeling that they'll once again take a new direction. Smile

I wouldn't want them to stay in this bluesy style forever, but for two albums I'm content with the change in direction. Thumbs Up

I recall him being sick of prog metal in general though. I can't blame him for his tastes, but that's what he does best!

However, I'm definitely going to sample this before I consider buying.

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

I totally understand being burnt from all the metal, but don't go to blues, for god's sake! LOL
Pull an Opeth and go melancholic symphonic for all I care Tongue

It kind of makes sense that they're touring together I guess. Two bands where the creative head is tired of prog metal, and went the 70s hard rock route. Maybe this means they'll get on stage together and do a collaborative extended "Freebird" jam. LOLTongueLOL

Have you said the most recent Mikael Akerfeldt interview? Apparently he hasn't been an avid extreme metal fan after the first two Opeth albums! Shocked

LOL
I don't have good expectations for the new Opeth album, and not even for this PoS one. Sure, RS1 was OK, but after a while....Sleepy
Darker? that's good news.
