the week have past and the new album have sunk in to the mist, so it is okey to start this poll now

soon i wil make a new Opeth poll as well, stay tuned or else Stern Smile (not else as in the name Else but anyway)

Yep, that one. But I'd say the Hunter has the potential of being the second best. The earlier albums, despite featuring my favourite Mastodon tracks like The Wolf is Loose and Blood & Thunder, are a bit too uneven.

The Hunter is quickly climbing up my Mastodon rankings.  Still too soon to say it is up there with Leviathan or CTS, but it may be my favorite album so far in 2011.

The Hunter is as expected another excellent album from them, but it doesn't quite top Crack the Skye for me. I'd say it's their third best.

For me:

Crack the Skye
Leviathan
The Hunter
Blood Mountain
Remission

I haven't listened to the Hunter in full yet, but I really doubt they're goingt to top Crack the Skye.  So, I guess I'm going with that one.

i still think the best about the Hunter is the logo which is written in Runes, the album is good, but the toping of my cake is that they added Nordic runes on the band-name-logo,

Remission is actually the first album I ever bought. So maybe it's purely the nostalgy talking, but it's still my fav.
Leviathan was good to, but got boring after a few spins and Blood Mountain has it's moments and from Crack The Skye I found only Oblivion very cool.
Plus the drums on Remission are so fucking amazing!

Crack the Skye, really awesome album. I'm a bit disappointed with the Hunter, I hoped they would continue with the same level of progressiveness as in CtS.

Voted Crack The Skye but it could easily have been one of the others depending on my mood. I like the Progressive elements of CtS.

I voted Crack the Skye but Leviathan comes in at a close second. While I liked The Hunter, I found it to be a step down from CtS.

I was one of those who didn't get what the fuss was all about in the case of Mastodon. Then Crack the Skye came out and I loved it.

However, I find The Hunter even better. It's almost flawless and has amazingly well-written songs with lots of character.

Yeah just about the same with me. The older material have grown on me over the years though. I like it much better now...
