Hallowed Be Thy Name

Listened to it on the way in to work this morning, as a matter of fact.

Iron Maiden is my favorite musical artist of all time across all genres, so choosing one is really difficult. Nut I'd probably go with "Mariner".

I have to go with Mariner too, but they have some awesome epics.

Mariner is awesome! But my vote goes to "The Man Who Would be King", because is the proof they still can make excellent epics (and it's my favorite song from The Final Frontier).

I  have to pick "Mariner" too. Its such a special track to me. "Alexander the Great" is also a favorite though and the epic "To Tame a Land" (which isnt on the list) is also a track I really like.

Yeah, I might've voted To Tame A Land

and I don't even like Dune

Me neitherSmile Always felt Dune was kinda 80s plastique and featured bad acting. Ive heard the book is pretty cool though.

I love all of these songs, like I do most Maiden songs. I'll have to go with 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner', which was one of the songs I grew up listening to a lot. Smile

I also voted for Hallowed by Thy Name, because it's my favorite Maiden song overall. Their epics are almost always amazing, though.

Well, actually I have only just started getting some music from them, and I'm not really sure I'll be getting much more.  They have some nice songs, but they can get somewhat annoying at times.  Hallowed be thy Name became my favourite song from them before I even knew any songs from them (thanks to Dream Theater's cover from Number of the Beast).  And my curiosity became greater since I have known of many metal bands I like doing covers from them.  However, the only albums I have got from them are, first, Maiden England, which had some nice songs (specially from Seventh Son), but many other rather annoying ones, and then Live after Death, which has some other nice songs, and not so many annoying ones (plus, now it seems clear to me that on Maiden England something seems to have been wrong with Dikinson's voice, since it's much better on Live after Death).

Voted Alexander The Great. I did an essay on him in Classics at university, purely because this song got me interested in him.

I've voted for Ryme of the Ancient Mariner but Nomad and The Thin Line Between Love and Hate are missing from the poll, two excellent songs IMO.
