Well, in metal we have many bands, in different genres (not only prog) that released albums and EPs with only one huge song. What's your fav?

You know I haven't actually heard any of those. If it's allowed, I'll say Other - Transatlantic - The Whirlwind. Not metal, and broken up into 12 tracks on CD, but is is one song.

Easy one. Would've gone with Leng T'che by Naked City, but I love Delirium Cordia just as much. Both really interesting, dark and disturbing concepts. Have to give special mention to The Dwelling, I, Light Of Day, and Dopesmoker.

Lynx, could you tell me if the album Feedbacker, by Boris, is an only single track divided by sections (like Catch 33, by Meshuggah)?

It's divided into 5 seperate tracks on the CD, but it's all part of the same continuous piece.

Some editions have the five track-form with music flowing cont.ly (as said), and some editions are one track version, lp version is divided into two sections/sides or 2 plus 3 track version per side a and side b. my favourite album structured like this is http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=28878" rel="nofollow - TU Thunderbird Suite (comprising of Trey Gunn with killer warr guitar and Pat Mastelott on drums, both formerly of King Crimson), which is technically not metal, though very heavy, fully instrumental with more than 43 minutes cont. music. Highly recomended.

There's many, many one track albums out there.
If not in this poll, (or on this site) Ictus - Imperivm is a crust punk/heavy metal epic at 39 minutes. Nitberg's Nagelreid is 56 minutes of (NS) black metal. Hypothermia's Skogens Hjrta is a 68 minute "black metal" instrumental which mostly borders on post rock. Wyrd's Heathen at 51 minutes Darkestrah Epos at 33 minutes. A new one: Ysengrin To Endotation at 40 minutes. Gravetemple also released a really low print run of 350 copies of Le Vampire De Paris at 54 minutes. Ekpyrosis: Mensch aus Gold 31 minutes. bergthron: Verborgen In Den Tiefen Der Wlder 33 minutes. Impiety - Worshippers Of The Seventh Tyranny 38 minutes. Monolithe: Monolithe I 52 minutes Monolithe: Monolithe II 50 minutes Ea: Ea 47 minutes .Crrust: Pain is a mere sensation: 44 minutes. Secht; Secht: 37 minutes. Abruptum: In Umbra Malitiae Ambulabo in Aeternum in Triumpho Tenebraum 60 minutes Abruptum: Vi Sonus Veris Nigrae Malitiaes Mistigo Varagoth Darkestra: The key to the gates of the apocalypse 72 (!) minutes. Ashes: Hymns to a Grey Sky 46 minutes Eight hands for Kali: Himalayan Necromantia 55 minutes Rorcal: Heliogabalus 70 minutes Black Boned Angel: Heavens Blaze Forth The Deaths of Princes 65 minutes Black Boned Angel: Bliss and Void Inseperable 60 minutes Black Boned Angel: The Endless Coming into Life 63 minutes Black Boned Angel: Verdun 51 minutes. Orthrelm: OV 45 minutes Krokmiten: Alpha-beta 46 minutes (free download from their site too) Roareth: Acts I-IV 45 minutes Thence: These Stones Cry From The Earth 57 minutes Ogre: Plague of the Planet 37 minutes Naked City: Leng Tch'e 31 minutes U.S. Christmas: the Valley Path 38 minutes Saw Throat: Inde$troy 41 minutes.
And that's just from my metal collection. If only we could vote for more then one album...but I must say The Dwelling is the masterpiece of this poll (by a narrow margin)
I made a list up on rateyourmusic which includes a lot more titles (not just metal though) http://rateyourmusic.com/list/renkls/a_completely_subjective_list_of_the_best_single_track_albums_

Well, we're talking about albums and Eps with only one and huge song. Dante's Inferno was released with another songs, so does not count.
...But Dante's Inferno is really awesome, and was later rerecorded by the band and released for free! Enjoy: http://www.icedearth.com/music" rel="nofollow - http://www.icedearth.com/music

Ysengrin - To Endotation Just came out in May, so it's a very recent 1 track album. Good stuff.
