So my youtube feed has provided me with an unusual little item, a band named Amaranthe. They seem to be some kind of fusion of pop with metal, it's rather bizarre. Featuring no less than three vocalists, they do have some pretty epic riffs, though I'm still trying to form an opinion of any kind about them.

What do you guys think of 'em?

They were at Prog Power USA this year.  Not really my thing, but if you like them, more power to ya!  The girl singer is pretty dang cute at least! LOL

Well I have a review on this site already which explains why I really didn't like them. But to summarise I hear a lot of potential in their music, but their debut came across as messy to my ears, like they had all those different influences and didn't put them together very well. Probably the best example of that is their writing is quite commercial (which in itself I don't have a problem with) but then they add growling vocals which try to take the music in the opposite direction. As I said, messy.
