We are very grateful to everyone who suggests new bands or artists for addition, as our main aim is to have as complete a database as possible. However, to facilitate the work of the genre teams - some of which are still understaffed - we would like to ask anyone suggesting a new addition to follow the following, simple guidelines: 1) first of all, it would be highly appreciated if you could mention a possible sub-genre for your suggested addition in the thread title. Many of you already do that, but others don't, and this makes it difficult for the suggestion to be submitted. Preferably thread titles will include only the artist name and the suggested genre(s). 2) please try to include the link to a web page (Facebook, Bandcamp or otherwise) in your post, so that the team taking charge of the suggestion will be able to get acquainted with the act, both musically and biographically. Links to other discography listing sites like Rate Your Music and Encyclopedia Metallum are also helpful. 3) Artist suggestion threads will be locked as soon as an artist is added to the database or the artist is rejected by our collaborators. Threads for accepted artists will be archived at some point afterwards to clear the suggestions forum. We try to give it a little while so the user who made the suggestion sees our response, but if you do miss it, your thread disappearing means the artist was accepted and added. Rejected threads stay in the forum for reference purposes, locked, with [REJECTED] added to the title.
