My vote goes to Symptom Of The Universe. Timeless riff and I love the evil feel throughout the song (in fact I love the evil feel of the whole Sabotage album). Pick your choice or state which is your favourite if it is not in the list (I couldn't make my mind in which song to leave out in order to put the "Other" option).

Masses of great stuff on the list, but my favourite Killing Yourself to Live is missing. From the Dio era my favourite is perhaps The Sign of the Southern Cross and from the Martin era (from what I've heard) either Nightwing or Hard Life to Love.

The Sign Of  The Southern Cross is my favorite song in this list. Not because Dio is the voice. But because this song is perfect also for Ozzy's voice!

Heaven and Hell. The double-time section in the middle blows my head clear off every single time.

It's "Black Sabbath" for my money, because it's still friggin' weird and creepy ;-)

From the Martin era a favourite of mine would be The Shining. The Eternal Idol is really a great record. Zero The Hero, which is included in the list would be my favourite from the Gillan years. It's awesome. I love Cannibal Corpse's cover of this song too.

So many great songs in the list that it's really hard to chooseUnhappy. My vote went to the monumental "The Sign of the Southern Cross", though it might have also gone to "Neon Knights"  - one of the best album openers ever. Some of my personal favourites, however, are missing from the list (which is no criticism at all) - "Die Young" and "Lonely Is the Word" from Heaven and Hell, and "Spiral Architect" from Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

It is, and shall always be, War Pigs. They should have stuck to Geezer's original title of Walpurgis, because it sounds more evil, but no matter.

I just don't get this Best Of lists. How can you choose? For me it changes day to day. All the BS albums from number one to Sabotage are classics IMHO

Well, personally, I love a shitload of Black Sabbath, but War Pigs just has an extra special meaning for me. I remember a band playing a damn fine cover of it at one of the first metal gigs I ever went to. I also remember seeing the old film of it with the band all going nuts over it, long hair, flared trousers and floppy sleeves flying all over the place. I love the lyrics especially, even though it does rhyme masses with masses at one stage... well the first two lines actually.LOL  I love the loud/quiet structure, the simple riffs, the freak out solos, the stop/start pattern. To me, it's just so much more Sabbath than any other song.
