arcane-beautiful
I have a big piece of advice for you. Always look at what the band looks like before purchasing. This mistake I will never make again.
I remember seeing this album in my local HMV. Now the band name was interesting. I was thinking to myself...hmm, "Bleed", most death metal bands have stuff to do with blood, this must be death metal (in fact the album was marketed as Melodic Death Metal if I can remember). The cover also was pretty cool too, so I thought, what the hey, i'll take a gamble with this. I really wish I didn't cause this cost me £10, and it's a £10 I wish I could get back.
Looking inside the booklet...I saw the band. I was shocked. OMG!!! emo hair! emo looking people!...please let this album be not as bad as I hoped.
So I put on the first track...and so far it wasn't too bad. Some nice sound clips and atmopsheric bits happening. A build up. Then the next song came on. And after that its all a blur.
From what I can remember, this album is terrible, because I usually can remember bits and pieces, even from the most terrible albums, but it's just a terrible sound, a terrible band and a terrible album, and incredibly forgetfull.
Each song sounds the same. Stupid screamed vocals that sound like a baby in a microwave, STUPID BREAKDOWNS that come from nowhere, riffs that are forgetable, and no songs basically. Their is no songs on this album.
Now I don't hate deathcore too much. Bring Me The Horizon's first ep wasn't the worst (I might review it in the future) and Job For A Cowboy, event though they aren't deathcore anymore, are still a great band (especially the first song from their last ep).
Now their is a bit of positivity. At times the riffs can be ok, and a tad melodic, but their usually ruined.
CONCLUSION: I'm not doing a breakdown of each song, cause I can't remember any of them. This is one of the worst albums I have ever heard (and please stay away from Adema's self titled, Creed's Full Circle, Metallica's Death Magnetic & Queen + Paul Rodger's The Cosmos Rocks, cause they are up their too). These guys just released a new album last year, and I kind of want to see can it get any worse, but at the moment, I want to cry myself to sleep at night for remembering this album.
