I think they should ban music itself, it's the only way to be 100% sure.

You'd have to ban computer disc drives that are capable of ripping CDs then too.

As stupid as this is, it's tough for me to get too riled up about a law that's completely impossible to enforce. Do they seriously think that this law will deter people from ripping their CD's?

I'm honestly not surprised by this though, legitimate people are usually the ones who draw the short straw.

How dumb can you get! If I buy a Cd and make a copy for use in the car how am I costing the music business money? Shot themselves in the foot again!

This is about killing the CD, more than anything else, I think.

Wow, this is a new low.
I can't say how much bullshit that single statement is. I don't think I have to bother explaining why this is so fucking stupid.

And they wonder why CD sales have dropped so much... Just go and download things in protest.

In all seriousness, it was illegal before and unenforceable, so nothing has really changed. It's dumb though, and shows a severe lack of common sense. How is money lost if I buy a CD album and rip it so I can play it on an mp3 player while on the go? It's simple greed if they think the consumer should be paying for the same album multiple times just because they wish to have access to that album in different formats. |

Though it was made legal last year it is now illegal again. I don't think I have ever read such bullshit before in my life. I wonder how much of a backhander this UK Music group gave to get this ruling in their favour?
