Have any of you heard Enemy of the Sun's "Shadows"? Unlistenable psuedo-mallcore garbage.

Aborym I agree with, I don't much care for their With No Human Intervention album. Otherwise, all of those are things I'd rate 4-5 stars. |

Most of my one stars and half stars are comps (I utterly hate comps)
One star. Metallica - Reload http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/reload--review.aspx?id=253439 Metallica - The Day That Never Comes Single http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/the-day-that-never-comes(single)--review.aspx?id=253441 Coheed and Cambria - Debut http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/the-second-stage-turbine-blade--review.aspx?id=253578 Half a star. Metallica - St. Anger http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/st-anger--review.aspx?id=253440 Aborym - Live in Studio http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/live-in-studio(demo)--review.aspx?id=254485 and now for the worst album and band ever in existence, yes, evenh Spermswamp is better than them, at least the guy who does that project knows he is being sick and perverted and trying to make off putting mjusic, This band however... |

I'm more a 'find the good in all things' kind of guy and don't like to give real negative reviews.
My theory is nothing is unlistenable, no band are talentless and no one has no fans. If I don't love it I'm sure someone does, its just not my thing. |

Another one star review from me: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/break-the-silence--review.aspx?id=252820
Van Canto was somewhat entertaining in the past, but it's got old hat now. If you've never heard them listen to their Metallica Battery cover. Their covers are usually entertaining, but their own stuff leaves something to be desired IMO. |

Yeah its a good review that explains the low rating.

That's very true. That's why in cases like that I try to make it very clear in the actual review, that the rating is based on the product and not the music, which in this case is really really good. http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/greatest-hits(compilation)--review.aspx?id=215150 Here's the review, it might need a bit of rephrasing, but I'm still quite happy with it.

Yeah but thats a tuff one Pekka. You only review the product and not the actual music on the product if you rate that way. I hate rating compilation stuff. I like to write reviews of compilations but that rating part of it sucks. The same with demos and singles. I think its extremely hard to rate such releases.

I very rarely hate any albums, and if so, I never listen to them well enough to review. But I gave Alice in Chains' Greatest Hits one star for the sheer lack of effort by the record company.

It's a metal website. What the fuck is wrong with swearing? Also, Xasar's latest review turned me to Emmure. |

Resurrection Macabre isn't an album I've heard , so no comment. Prog? Not really, though it is graced by Jeroen Paul Thesseling's fretless bass, but that's the only standout thing about it.

I heard a little bit of it. It sounds like Spheres + Resurrection. Didn't even hear the whole album yet, but that's my initial judgment.
