Turns out the Voivod isn't coming until January 2013, but this preview sounds pretty promising:

Just discovered this, though it's from march. I think it's pretty glorious.

Hit 70 reviews now, still need to catch up with all the album's I've heard though.
I can see the following slipping in high at the moment: And if the single is anything to go by the new Kamelot may just be their best album for several years. |

As expected, the new Seven Kingdoms slid nicely into 7th.

I've got to start ranking the albums I consider worthy of my list. So many I'm waiting on within the next 2 months though. Hard to say what my favourite album has been thus far, but I'm leaning now towards Napalm Death.

the best of this year that i can think of are the steelwing album zone of alienation, allegaeon formshifter, bonded by blood he aftermath, six feet under undead, cannibal corpse torture, spawn of possession incurso, baroness yellow and green, kreator phantom antichrist, testament dark roots of the earth, overkill the electric age, hexen being and nothingness, and shadows fall fire from the sky. thats all i could think of as of right now

I take it you're unfamiliar with Anaal Nathrakh?

I decided to finally start catching up with 2012, so I picked up OM and Converge's latest. OM's is incredible, the sludge equivalent of Agitation Free. Haven't listened to Converge just yet.
I also still need their split with Napalm Death. |

I would just like to also say that this is still the only thing I've heard this year that beats Vaura on my list. Shame it doesn't really qualify as metal. |

The new GY!BE album was also pretty sweet, not even close to the Seer still, though.
http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/godspeed_you__black_emperor/allelujah__dont_bend__ascend_/ So far my favorite metal release has to be...Parallax II by Between the Buried and Me. I'm not super crazy about the album, like it's not better than Colors, but it's definitely their second best LP. Other than that some other good ones are Gamma Knife by Kayo Dot, All We Love We Leave Behind by Converge, Epicloud by Townsend, Drought by Deathspell Omega, and Portal of I by Ne Obliviscaris. I haven't heard the new Enslaved album, RIITIIR, or I haven't heard apparently the new Negura Bungent, Dordeduh. |

Very nice, still lots of albums there I'd like to check out. I hit 80 reviews this week. I'm at 104 listened to albums though. Still trying to catch up.
