I went with Awaken the Guardian although, to me, it's more of a progressive metal album. Had Vicious Rumors' Welcome to the Ball been on the list, that would have been my pick.

Decided to vote Iced Earth's Burnt Offerings, probably the heaviest power metal album ever recorded. I love the Helstar albums, Metal Church albums, Vicious Rumors, Fates Warning, Sanctuary, and Crimson Glory albums as well though. This was a tough one.
