A Descent In Graves was originally formed in 2010 under the name Descending Graves. It adopted its current moniker in 2011.

"A Descent In Graves is a Belgian metal band that was formed in 2010 by Julien Debouny. After having changed the line-up a few times and released an EP "Realize In Suffering" (2011), they released their first album "From Mourning to Solace" in 2012. The album is currently signed to Ultimhate Records. Their music clearly falls into progressive metal, but enhanced with strong, powerfull riffs and bright, well worked melodies. They will soon be recording a new album to be released in early 2013 and are currently searching for a new singer to be part of the band."
