Disappearer was an atmospheric sludge metal band from Boston in Massachusetts, formed in 2004.
Disappearer can trace it's origins way back to 2003, when Jebb Riley (bass), Thomas Moses (guitars) and Ryan Begley (drums) came together to form a new band following the demise of hardcore outfit, There Were Wires.
After the release of their self-titled EP, Disappearer started work on their full-length debut, but not before a couple of band changes took place. Matt Spearin (drums) replaced Ryan Begley and Jebb Riley took up vocal duties alongside his bass guitar role. In 2009, Disappearer released their album, The Clearing, on Magic Bullet Records.
