Hawaii was a short lived German heavy metal band that was essential an incarnation of the more well known act Grave Digger between 1988 - 1991. Hawaii came to be after Grave Digger changed their name to Digger, but flopped commercially with the album Stronger Than Ever (1986) and was formed by Chris Boltendahl (vocals) and Uwe Lulis (guitars).
They released one demo under this name, Bottles and Four Coconuts (1989) before bringing the group to an end and reforming Grave Digger. The songs recorded as Hawaii were reworked and mostly became the Grave Digger album The Reaper (1993).
