Drummer Chet McCraken had played with the Evergreen Blueshoes, typical Westcoast psych/folk from California in the late '60's and included Skip Batten who was recruited for the Byrds(latter of the Flying Burrito Brothers and the New Riders of the Purple Sage) the band dissolved with McCraken forming a trio with guitarist Jack Merril and bassist Rob Rochan and were signed to Decca and released thier self-titled debut in early 1971 with a mix of the California acoustic country/folk rock, just a breeze of Westcoast psych and a few hard rock tracks. Generally a pretty good album.
Late 1971 saw the issue of Second Coming. Holy smokes! The boys cooked 'er up following the recipe of a heavy rock groove similar to Stepson, blazing hard rock in the vien of Sir Lord Baltimore, the boom of Sabbath and the progressive windings of Wishbone Ash.
