Woman Is the Earth is an atmospheric black metal act from the United States, formed in 2007. Explaining their name during an interview conducted in 2015, Woman Is the Earth is "inspired by the earth being a powerful creator and provider and man being the one who takes from it and returns to it". The band released their debut album Of Dirt in 2009.
They have since gone on to release several other albums; This Place That Contains My Spirit (2012), Depths (2014) and Torch of Our Final Night (2016).
