Former SEKS singer, Rock Hart, delivered his fresh solo album, 'The Conqueror', which has more 80s glam oriented than his previous band. Strengthened by the beautiful beast, Julian Angel, whom also recently just released his album, 'The Conqueror' is filled with a rich variety of hard rock flavor. 'Goin' Down' was loaded with machine-gun riffs and a superb chorus and 'Lay It On Me' didn't step down and keep the tempo pumped up. 'Untamed Heart of Rock N Roll' sent a beam of blinding rays through its energetic rhythm and fist pumping chorus. 'Neon Dreams' is highly accessible to the casual, a bit commercial and of course a lovely piece of melodic hard rock. 'Wide Awake' is a slow-to-mid tempo ballad attempt, pretty average but sounds like a mandatory track for an 80s-rock album.
I spotted several fillers and some people might agree with me. 'Hotter Than Hell' isn't really suited for such vocal style because the music is much better and also '25 To Love' could be the weakest track. 'Scream And Shout' has nice chorus but not really sure on the verse, although this one is perhaps the heaviest track and some will dig it a lot. I favor 'Slave' more, it has that raw Judas Priest touch and the chorus is just flawless.
The last two tracks are okay, but I forgot to mention that 'Love Crime' is catchy as hell and check out the incredible solos, it will blew you away. Overall, a good album by HART and lookin' forward to check out more in the next album!
