Influences include The Contortionist, Veil of Maya, I Declare War, Volumes, Aristeia, Despised Icon, Jimi Hendrix, After The Burial, The Acacia Strain and Beneath The Massacre.

"A Lapse of Ethos" - Our name refers to how societies ethos as a whole are collapsing over a lapse of time. Its a result of the society we grow up in that our government has created for us.
Brothers Alex Pasillas (Guitar) and Michael Pasillas (Drums) have been playing music together since 2009. In early 2012 Nico DePasquale (Bass) joined and by August of that same year we decided to start writing as "A Lapse of Ethos"
