A Prelude to Tragedy is a progressive metal band from Fairfield, California formed under the name Esucarys. After releasing their album Diary of a Lost Soul in 2001 the band changed to their current monicker.
A Prelude to Tragedy released their debut album Shadows of the Past in 2007.
