Affliction is a melodic death metal band from Germany, founded in 2000.

From the band's myspace: The foundation of us meanwhile probably goes back nine or ten years. Over the years there were several line up changes, that's why we only call the most important ones.

2000 we had a solid line up, with which we could work seriously. The music style at that time could be described as Melodic Death Metal, because of the use of a lot of melodies and the speediness.

The Songwriting started and soon first, for the band and the audience, stirring and energy-loaded gigs followed.

Some months later we began recording our first work 'DRAGON'S BREATH', which has been released 2001. The fans yearned the record and it has accordingly positively accepted.
