Aftershock was a sludge metal band from New Orleans in Louisiana, active between 1988 and 1989.
Aftershock was formed after the band Shell Shock disolved on the death of band member Mike "Hatch-Boy" Hatch.

After disbanding, Aftershock changed its name to Wrequiem (1989), and then to Slugs.
