Against The Grain is a NYHC hardcore band from New York City in New York, active between 1996 and 2014.
Against The Grain was started by hardcore veteran Rob Kabula (bass) of Agnostic Front and Carlos Diaz (guitar) in 1996. Additional members included hardcore veteran Stan Ambro(drummer) formerly of Cause For Alarm. This original line-up consisted also of Rob Portvliet (guitar) and Adriano "A.G." Garcia (vocals).
Against The Grain has now been superseded by successor band, Dead Blow Hammer.
