Age of Shadows is a symphonic/power metal band based out the Rochester, NY area. Originally formed by guitarist Jason Snyder under the name Stygian in 2005, the band operated for 2 years before becoming inactive. In 2011, the band was reborn out of a new project formed by several original members, and the group played its first set of live shows as a full lineup. Since then, the band has recorded three demos, with the latest being available for streaming via its ReverbNation page. In 2014, the band's name was changed to Age of Shadows. The band boasts heavy riffs and rhythms, topped off by keyboards and operatic vocals, nearly unheard of in the Rochester area.
