AGHARTA was a progressive metal band from the Netherlands, lead by the Dutch instrumentalist and composer Martin De Boer. Little is known about this outfit today, but two productions from them were issued: The self-titled EP Agharta in 1990 and the album Shades of Secrets in 1992. Both Martin De Boer and drummer Hans Bouman, the other permanent member, were also members of Dutch power metal outfit Steel Against Steel, a band that folded in 1993.
