Alquimia is a band of Power Metal and Hard Rock native of the city of Zárate, Buenos Aires, formed on September 14, 2008 by brothers Collado and Teti; with the influences of bands like White Rat, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Europe, Avantasia and so on.
On February 9, 2011 the group released the demo "On the Path" with the participation of Javier Yuchechen (Ariadna Project) on vocals.
Their live debut on July 23, 2011 at CBGB, Buenos Aires, with Simon on drums Carballo ago. Less than a year after its first presentation, presented at the Teatro de Flores, opening for Rhapsody of Fire. Burn plays on that date, the classic theme of Deep Purple, along with former keyboardist Rata Blanca: Hugo Bistolfi.
Through the annual survey conducted in 2012 by Revista La Negra is named best band Zarate.
