Ancara is a Finnish band with an honorable history. Formed of long term musicians with musical roots deep in the eighties, an honest band with true balls to the walls hard rock sound!
The debut album "The Dawn" (2006) easily reached the number 25 spot on the Finnish charts in the spring. The album was followed by "The World" EP in the summer of the same year, and it did even better. Reaching the top 10 of the single charts, it stayed there for 4 weeks and peaked at position 2. Ancara's second album "Beyond the Dark" (2007) stormed the Finnish album charts and it reached the 9th place on the opening week. The album was released thru Timo Kotipelto's (Stratovarius) High and Loud -record label all over Europe. The single "Deny" was released from the album and it aired frequently on the Finnish
