Anfitrite is a symphonic metal band from Barquisimeto, Lara State, Venezuela. The band was founded in mid-2012 by self-taught keyboardist, writer, poet, arranger and composer Sting Weiss (Lord Weiss) along with drummer Ana Álvarez.
The band adopted the name Amphitrite in honour of the goddess of the calm sea according to Greek mythology.
