Angel of Disease is a progressive death metal band from Tbilisi, Georgia. The band was formed in 2001, with an appearance at a concert in Tbilisi the official birth of the band. Consisting of Lev Azatyan (drums), Andrew Azatyan (guitars), Michael Kizakyan (bass) and Igor Galichan (vocals) at this time, the latter would leave the band not long after, and when they hit the studio in 2005 Sergi Shengelia (vocals) had joined. This line-up of the band recorded and released their first album Broken Melody the same year.
From now on Angel of Disease would start expanding their sound, moving from a more or less traditional Death metal sound towards a more experimental and sophisticated version based on that musical platform. Line-up alterations became part of that process, and come 2008 Lev and Andrew Azatyan were now accompanid by Sergi Shengelia (guitars, vocals), George Zautashvili (bass) and Dmitry Kiladze (vocals).
