Animetal USA is an American power metal band, based in Japan. Their lineup features singer Michael Vescera (ex-Loudness, Obsession,) Chris Impellitteri (Impellitteri,) bassist Rudy Sarzo (Queensryche featuring Geoff Tate) and drummer Scott Travis (Judas Priest.) They were formed as a tribute to the Japanese band Animetal, and they play metal versions of classic Japanese Anime theme songs, with the lyrics for most songs translated into English. They released a self-titled debut in 2011. The next year, Scott Travis left and was replaced by ex-Slayer drummer John Dette. Later that year the band replaced their second album, Animetal USA W, which contained songs picked by their fans, as well as an original song called "Give Lee Give Lee Rock Lee", which was released as a single, and used as the theme song for the Naruto spin-off Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals.
