Aperion is a Slovenian symphonic metal band, formed in 2002. They're an 8 piece band, and they play a unique brand of symphonic metal with a combination of symphonic arrangements and folk instruments like the cello, flute, viola and even the rarely used (at least in metal) didgiredoo, to go along with metal riffs and the operatic vocals of singer Zala Hodnik. For several years they worked mostly as a live band, but in 2010 they released their full length debut titled Act of Hybris.
