APOCALIPSIS is a power metal band from Mexico. Apocalipsis was formed out of the band Superalfa, who several of the band members previously played with and who had released a demo. After some membership changes, Superalfa changed its name to Apocalipsis.
Apocalypsis made a few TV and radio appearances and made an impression on Gas Records. In 1988 they recorded two songs for Gas Records’ Explosion Metalica compilation. Power metal fans though had to wait until 1991 for Apocalipsis to release their self-titled debut EP. Soon afterwards though, the band was to disappear.
