ARASHK are a progressive metal band from Tehran, Iran consisting of Pouyan Khajavi (guitars, vocals, bass), Salim Ghazi Saeedi (guitars, keyboards) and Shahram Khosraviani (drums). The band is mostly instrumental, but does include some vocals. The music fuses hard rock and metal with ancient Persian culture and sounds.
Their debut album "Abrahadabra" is an instrumental blend of progressive metal that the band released in 2006. The band’s second album "Sovereign" is also an instrumental album with some electronic motifs and was self released in 2007.
In 2008, the third album was released "Ustuqus-al-Uss" which combines elements of progressive metal with an oriental feel and also incorporates piano and violin solos. In 2008, they released their fourth album "Yell." This album is a vocalized hard rock/metal blend.
