Auto-de-Fe is a gothic metal band from Yaroslavl in russia, formed in 1997.

The group name is taken from the gloomy Middle Ages: Auto-de-fe (literally from the Portuguese language it is translated as the Act of faith) - declaration and a carrying out of sentences of inquisition, including public burning of heretics and witches on a fire.
Music is a bright sample gothic atmospheric thoughts-threw in the best traditions old school doom metal. It is under construction on beautiful artful designs of depressive reeves and the bewitching released female vocal, personifying a hopelessness, … uselessness of attempts of management over time current, powerlessness of the person over forces of the nature...
The group collective some times endured changes in the structure. Invariable there was only a head of group Dmitry Gorbunov. By summer of 2010 there is begun record of a full-length album ELEMENTS. At present the album is written down
