Autocatalytica is a progressive metal / avant-garde metal / mathcore band from Brooklyn and Boston in the USA, formed in 2009.
This band “will not rest until they have fully redefined unbridled fury and shattered all genre boundaries and preconceptions”. With this as their mission statement, their eclectic list of influences should be no surprise and include Bjork, Meshuggah, Joanna Newsom, Dillinger Escape Plan, Opeth, and Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas.
The debut EP "Horror Vacui" was released in April 2012.
