Auttist was a post-sludge metal band from Guanajuato in Mexico, active between 2010 and 2014.
The sound of Auttist was characterized by distorted guitars, heavy ambience, gradual evolution of the structures in the songs and a well-known emphasis on the voices, combining sequences aggressive and distorted with melodic sounds and orchestral passages.
The band's tone in general was very serious. The production was usually light, giving the impression of being a garage rock band. This allows for the formation minimalist and repetitive sections, sometimes with instruments as the echo theremin or guitars without distortion.
The lyrics tackled many subjects, including metaphysics and rationalism.
Auttist released its debut album, Paraíso Artificial, in October 2010.
