Axemaster is a traditional heavy metal band from the United States formed in 1982, though they didn't become a proper band until 1985. This early line-up consisted of Joe Sims on vocals, guitars and bass, with no less than three different drummers, who shared the duties on Axemaster's first demo The Heirs To Revolution from 1983. By the time of second demo Slave to the Blade in 1986, Axemaster had formed into a band with a more standard line-up, keeping Brian Henderson out of the three drummers and adding Christopher Michael as a vocalist and bassist. Together the trio released the debut Axemaster album Blessing in the Skies in 1987.
Axemaster kept the same line-up until shortly before their second album Death Before Dishonor in 1990, when Christopher Michael departed the group. For this album they added Terry Wilson as their new vocalist and Jim Newcomb as the bassist. Afterwards
