Birth Signs was a Portuguese metalcore band from Loulé in the Algarve, formed in 2003.

Hailing from the south of Portugal, Birth Signs were originally formed in 2003, presenting to the music panorama a unique blend of heavy riffs, charismatic grooves, anthemic and driving melodies. During the years, Birth Signs lineup has gone through several changes, as their music was pushed in different directions, until it has reached the sounds by which they are known presently.
Today, the lineup comprises Francisco Martins (vocals), Carlos Guadalupe and David Palma (guitars), Luis Mendes (bass/vocals) and Sebastien Matias (drums). Throughout their beginning Birth Signs have played in several shows spreading their music.
In the beginning of 2009, Birth Signs released their debut EP “Forever Is a Long Time” ceasing the long quest of recording and re-recording tracks as the band strived to realize their expectations of their sounds as their own
