Black Rose are a heavy metal/hard rock band from North East England. Formed in 1980 they were one of the many bands at the time to be labelled under the NWOBHM banner.
The band toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe before splitting up in 1989. During that time they released a number of singles, EP’s and two albums – Boys Will Be Boys (1984) and Walk It How You Talk It (1987).
In 2011 the band reunited and played their first gigs in over 20 years at the Cradle Will Rock festival in the UK. This was followed by appearances at The Headbangers Open Air in Germany, Hammerfest in the UK and Play It Loud in Italy. In 2012 their third album Cure For Your Disease was released.
2022 sees the release of their fourth album WTF on Pure Steel Records.
