Origin of Silence was formed by Megan Branigan in 2003 as a one-woman metal project. Having released the album "Mirage Word Revival" in 2005, the project was renamed Branigan in 2008. Branigan still has to release an album under the new moniker. Stylistically, Branigan's music is progressive metal with elements of black metal and avant-garde metal.
