Brazen Abbot, also known as Nikolo Kotzev's Brazen Abbott or ブレイズン・アボット in Japan, is a hard rock act formed in Finland by Belgarian multi-instrumentalist Nikolo Kotzev, as a studio project. They have since made live appearances however. Other early members of the band included Mic Michaeli, John Levén and Ian Haugland, all of Europe fame.
The group was originally intended to have just one vocalist but when this didn't work out, multiple singers appeared to sing different songs on the debut album Live and Learn (1995), most notably Glenn Hughes. Pleased with the result, Nikolo Kotzev continued to use multiple lead singers on each subsequent Brazen Abbot release with singers such as Joe Lynn Turner, Thomas Vikström and Jørn Lande all working with the band at different times. When they perform live however Joe Lynn Turner usually appears as the sole lead vocalist.
