Candlebox is a grunge/post-grunge/alternative rock band from Seattle, Washington formed in 1990. With the release of their self-titled debut album in 1993, they gained quick success and the album was certified Platinum four times. The band broke up in 2000 after trying to free themselves from a contract with their then-label Maverick. The band reformed in 2006, and released their fourth album two years later.
While their main musical style is hard rock, the band takes influence from blues, funk rock, grunge, and glam metal.
