The norwegian (Oslo based) band Carnivora is a majestically styled Heavy Metal band mentored by former Street Legal, Rain and Jorn Lande guitarist Tore Moren. The six-stringer has also sessioned for both Sinergy and Extol. Exiting Lande's band in 1999, Moren duly assembled this new band unit, impressively enlisting no less a figure than the Mayhem, Immortal, Emperor, The Kovenant, Ulver and Arcturus credited renowned drummer Hellhammer (a.k.a. Jan Axel Blomberg). Enrolling bassist Bjarne Torud the newly constituted trio cut a series of demos, subsequently drafting Circus Maximus singer Michael Eriksen. In this formation Carnivora cut the debut 'Judas' album at Börge Finstad's Top Room studios. Guesting would be the high profile Ronnie Le Tekrö of TNT fame, donating a guitar solo to the track 'Soaring On', and Nils K. Rue of Pagan's Mind on 'State Of Fear And Hate'.
