Willian Wiz, Destroyer and Mark formed Chakal in early 1985. With a distinguished and aggressive vocal by Sgôto, Chakal took part in the Metal BH II festival, which included such bands as Sarcófago, Sagrado Inferno, Armageddon, Sepultura and Minotauro (SP). The band's first live performance was marked by aggressiveness.
Line-up changes followed, but they remained active in the Belo Horizonte underground scene. Finally, Korg, who had just left Mega Thrash, joined the band. Later on, they recruited Necromancer, also an ex-Mega Thrash member. "Children Sacrifice", the first demo tape, was then recorded - the introduction featured the guests Max Possessed (Sepultura) and SDN (Mutilator). This demo was acclaimed, and the band was soon selected to participate in the compilation "Warfare Noise I" (Cogumelo, 1986), which also featured Mutilator, Sarcófago and Holocausto. Chakal's line-up at this time was: Korg (vocals), Mark (guitars), Destroyer (bass), Necromancer (guitars) and Willian Wiz (drums).
