Citriniti is an instrumental progressive metal/fusion band from Italy and are named after the brothers Citriniti,Danilo (drums) and Domenico (bass). The brothers grew up in a musical family, often going to gigs with their father. The intricacy and sophistication in their music comes from a lifetime of playing together.
Citriniti released their first album "Hydra" in 2002,and it featured a number of different guitarists (Salvatore Ciambrini, Luciano Aloise, Alex Bevilacqua).
The brothers began writing, rehearsing and recording their second album,"Between The Music And Latitiude",which was released in 2006.This album also featured some guest guitarists(Salvatore Ciambrini, Francesco Fareri)and keyboardists (Mistheria, Alex Argento),but most of the guitar work was done by Italian session veteran Fabrizio Leo,who is known as being one of the best guitarists in Italy. In 2008 Citriniti released their latest opus to date, the self-titled Citriniti.
Citriniti swerves from progressive metal to complex progressive jazz fusion instrumentals, rich in advanced techniques.
