Cleanser was a metalcore / NYHC hardcore punk band formed in 1995 in Long Island, New York.
Cleanser played a brutal cross between death metal and hardcore music, a style of metalcore that was new to the scene in 1995-98.
Cleanser disbanded shortly after their European tour in 1998. They played a reunion show in January of 2004 at The Downtown in Farmingdale, Long Island with Underoath and The Chariot.
