Cleric is a US Philadelphia based avant-garde metal / mathcore band that creates a dark melting pot of extreme styles, merging metalcore with ambient, industrial, noise, grind, doom, sludge and psychedelic elements. Influenced by other metal pioneers such as Meshuggah, Converge and Fantômas, their music zeroes in on a level of brutality and experimentation that a single band rarely maintains even for a few seconds
The band was formed in 2004 and released their first full length "Regressions" in 2010 after being signed to the Web of Mimicry label. The debut presents the band as an original and uncompromising force on the cutting edge of modern day avant-garde metal.
