Crisis was an extreme metal band formed in New York City in 1994 by Pakistani-born guitarist Afzaal Nasirudden, together with frontwomen Karyn Crisis. Their music was influenced by death metal and thrash metal, and was noted for its experimental component and aggressive socio-political lyrics, often dealing with feminism. The band split in 2008.
