1998: By the end of the year, DEKADENZ was founded to pursue a path of Dark Metal. In the beginning, the music's character was still somewhat undecided, and the artistry not yet refined. Not lacking, however, was the musician's level of personal motivation, quickly leading to the creation of the first live program, which in early...
1999: ...lead to a performance at a local live band festival. This first live playing experience transformed DEKADENZ from a mere project into a real band with firm goals. As the year wore on, a keyboardist joined as the band's fifth member, decidedly pushing their music's character closer to the realm of Melodic Black Metal, eventually redefining & inhabiting the music genre on its own.
